Are you trying to decide if CBD is right for you? If you can’t decide or perhaps you don’t know what to look for, you are one of many. So many, in fact, that I decided to make this video with my friend and scientist, Adam Christensen. I’ve made a couple of videos on the subject of CBD in recent weeks. In the following video, I visited Adam, the CEO of Botanica, in his lab and research facility (hence the equipment noise!) at the Innovation Hub at the University of Florida.
As CBD has increased in popularity in recent times, it was so interesting to hear about his and his team’s research into different types of CBD and his educated advice about what to look for and what to be aware of. We talk about CBD testing, how it’s done, why it’s important, and of course, what to look for when buying a CBD product. These are questions I’ve asked myself time and time again, and it took me a lot of study and research, and I simply wasn’t satisfied with what I was finding on the market, nor was I receiving enough information on how and where/when it was sourced. In fact, such was my dissatisfaction that I ended up working with organic hemp farmers and creating my own.
The subject of CBD is an important one to me for a couple of reasons, first and foremost, it works. For that reason alone it deserves to be taken very seriously. I take hemp CBD to help with sleep and stress, although it can be used for a number of other symptoms, and secondly, there is fascinating science behind CBD and our Endocannabinoid System (another video I made which I highly recommend watching). Also, be sure to watch the following video I made recently in an attempt to debunk common misconceptions about CBD.
CBD not only works but is backed by science and thorough research. While it is relatively new to the wellness community, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing how much it can help people. Even my cameraman and editor, who is prone to occasional bouts of insomnia and anxiety, confessed that it worked wonders for him, almost immediately.
There is a lot of unfair stigma attached to it that I hope to address and dispel over time through interviews such as this one, and many other videos I have coming up. The confusion about CBD is natural and we all have questions and concerns, but as a wellness explorer who loves to delve into new science and natural cures, I find this endlessly fascinating, and simply as a proponent of CBD, I want to share my personal research and experience with you; the viewers.
Let’s work together as a community and help one another lead happier and healthier lives. 🙂
