We all love it, and it’s in almost everything we eat. On average we are consuming 22 teaspoons of it a day through our meals, condiments, in our teas and coffees, sodas, and “healthy smoothies” or juices. It can be found everywhere, and yet it is one of the worst things we can put into our bodies. The same can be said for many unhealthy foods, but sugar is a particularly scary one with truly shocking negative health effects.
In this video, I’m going to highlight and discuss three dangerous effects of sugar consumption which you probably weren’t even aware of. Such are the dangers of consuming it; from the weight gain and tooth decay which most of us are aware of to the more serious mood swings and depression, heart disease, fatty liver, aging acceleration – to the most extreme of all: cancer risks, diabetes, and addictions akin to those of class A drugs. All of that for that little sweetness we crave. Something needs to change.
Eliminating, or significantly reducing the amount of sugar we consume can make huge differences not only in the way we look but in our overall health and wellbeing. Moderation is key and it is hard to avoid it completely, but it is equally important to be aware and to be informed.
